Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing multiple orders and prioritizing tasks. Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling procedures, including storage, temperature control, and cross-contamination prevention. Participate in menu planning discussions by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods. Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner, contributing to smooth service flow and guest satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or culinary environment is highly preferred. Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques are essential for success in this role. Experience working in dietary departments or with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is required. Familiarity with catering services and fine dining standards will enhance your ability to excel here. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality. A genuine passion for culinary arts combined with excellent teamwork skills will help you thrive in our energetic kitchen environment.
