Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health regulations. Support food preparation activities such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients for service. Maintain a clean and organized work station, including sanitizing utensils, equipment, and surfaces regularly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of food quality. Contribute to catering events or special functions by preparing large quantities of food with efficiency and attention to detail. Skills Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment, demonstrating strong kitchen skills and culinary knowledge. Expertise in food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment. Skilled in knife techniques, meal preparation, and cooking methods across various cuisines. Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of menu planning and food industry standards to support innovative dish creation.
