Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest standards. This position requires a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Closing the kitchen to specifications ensuring everything is turned off and ready for the next day. Duties Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and menu plans. Perform food handling tasks, ensuring all safety and sanitation standards are met. Utilize kitchen equipment and tools, including knives, to prepare ingredients for cooking. Support the dietary department by preparing specialized meals as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or as a dietary aide is preferred. Knowledge of food handling techniques and safety regulations. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
