Line Cook/Prep Cook

We are a family-owned restaurant. One is located in Historic Biltmore Village and the other is in Downtown Asheville, NC. We are searching for THREE dynamic Line/Prep Cooks , who are proficient in a high volume restaurant!

About Corner Kitchen :

The Corner Kitchen is located in a 130+ year old Richard Sharpe Smith Victorian House. Known as "Asheville's most surprising restaurant", we handcraft our food using as much local and seasonal produce and proteins as possible. We touch on many of the cuisines found throughout this country. Open 7 days a week for Brunch from 9:30am

• 2:30pm and for dinner from 5pm-9pm. Located at 3 Boston Way, 28803.

Line Cook duties include:

Setup, run and breakdown service. During service, cook, assemble and plate dishes

• menu changes seasonally and specials are created each day & evening.

All cooks are part of the creative process, especially the Lead Line Cooks Follow sanitation and restaurant standards while being part of "the team" We cross train and mentor our employees to learn the different stations (cold, hot, saute, prep, expo) We have a positive, supportive and fun work culture. Prep cook duties include : Keep up with stock/pars for all desserts Run support for the line throughout shift Responsible to keep the walk-in cooler neat and clean Putting away food orders efficiently; checking in food orders properly Keeping back prep kitchen neat and tidy Re-stock the line during service Work through their prep list with pars laid out At beginning and end of shift, all food items labelled, dated, rotated, and if needed discarded. FIFO!
