Line Cook/Prep Cook/Dishwasher

The Mindful Cafe is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented line cook to join our team. This is more than just a cooking position

• we are a health-focused cafe that serves many customers with dietary restrictions and specific ingredient requests.

Accuracy, efficiency, and a positive team attitude are essential. Our line cook plays a key role in delivering beautifully prepared, high-quality food while maintaining a clean, organized and Mindful workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

Food preperation &

Execution:

• Prepare and assemble menu items accurately and efficiently
• Carefully follow instructions related to allergies, dietary restrictions, and customer modifications
• Ensure portion consistency and presentation standards
• Prep ingredients and food items for current and following day service
• Maintain speed without sacrificing quality or safety

Customer Interaction:

• Take customer orders at the counter as needed
• Answer basic menu questions regarding ingredients and dietary accommodations
• Prepare and serve beverages as needed
• Deliver food to tables as needed

Kitchen Operations:

• Restock ingredients and supplies throughout shifts
• Communicate clearly with team members about low inventory and prep needs
• Maintain an organized work station
• Follow "clean as you go" practices
• Assist with end-of-day kitchen breakdown and next-day prep or morning set-up

Food Safety & Sanitation:

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• ServeSafe certification is a plus
• Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and temperature control
• Keep workspace clean & sanitary at all times
• Comfortable interacting with customers

Job Type:

$15.00 per hour + tips ($17-20/hr with tips)
