Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at Japonica. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of various dishes, ensuring high-quality food and customer satisfaction.

Duties:

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
• Assist in the cooking and plating of dishes according to recipes and portion sizes
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
• Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify management when items need to be restocked
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Line Cook/Prep Cook or similar role in a restaurant or culinary setting
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
