Job Description

We have the collective experience of 17 attorneys working in an interactive and collaborative culture that yields creative, practical solutions for our clients. Having been a part of the regional business community for quite some time, we understand the goals and challenges of our clients and recognize the important details and nuances that influence business and legal outcomes. We represent clients not only in the State of Indiana, but also in Michigan and Illinois. We are seeking a skilled and driven Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join our litigation team. This position offers an opportunity to handle a wide range of litigation matters from inception through trial in a collaborative and well-respected firm. The ideal candidate has strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage cases independently with support from senior attorneys when needed.

Responsibilities-Managing all phases of litigation including client meetings, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation-Drafting legal memoranda, motions, and briefs-Taking and defending depositions-Appearing in court for hearings, conferences, and trials-Working closely with firm partners and mentoring junior attorneys or associatesPractice Areas May Include-General Civil Litigation-Business & Commercial Disputes-Trust & Estate Litigation-Employment and Government Litigation-Other matters based on firm needs and experienceQualifications-J.D. from an accredited law school-Admitted to practice in Indiana (required)-3+ years of litigation experience, with meaningful courtroom and motion practice exposure-Strong written and oral advocacy skills-Ability to work independently and collaboratively-Commitment to providing excellent client serviceBenefits-Competitive base + bonus-Flexible hybrid schedule-Health Insurance Benefits-401k with firm contributions-Generous PTO-HSA-Life Insurance
