Description Purpose & Scope :

This position is responsible for transporting animal loads as scheduled while following our biosecurity protocols.

Principle Responsibilities :

90%

• Livestock movements: loading and unloading swine
• 10%
• Other duties as assigned (feed haul, moving equipment, etc.)
• Communication with various departments

Travel:

Local travel

• approx.

30 mile local farm radius

Required Qualifications :

Valid Non-Expired Class A CDL

• Live haul experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Lift/Carry heavy objects approximately 60lbs
• Constant walking, bending, pushing, pulling
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
• Be a team oriented, self-motivated and positive individual with strong work ethics
• Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in inclement weather conditions

Preferred Skills :

1 year driving experience preferred

• Animal handling experience preferred but not required; will provide training
