Overview Join our dedicated team as a Live-In Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized, compassionate care. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to clients in their homes, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be an essential part of a team committed to enhancing quality of life through dedicated service and professional expertise. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and patient observation to monitor health status and respond promptly to needs or emergencies Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document medication administration in medical records or electronic health record (EHR) systems Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's disease and dementia, implementing personalized care plans Operate medical equipment including Hoyer lifts, catheters, and vital signs monitors while adhering to safety protocols Maintain detailed medical documentation, update electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals, assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry, and promote a safe living environment Collaborate with healthcare professionals on patient care plans, including hospice or palliative care when necessary Conduct regular patient assessments through observation and record findings accurately using medical terminology Support clients in community settings or during home visits to promote independence and engagement Qualifications Proven experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, or long-term care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and infection control practices Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and first aid required; additional certifications such as hospice or dementia care are a plus Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities preferred Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and medical records management Ability to assist with ADLs using equipment like Hoyer lifts safely and effectively Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and family members while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines Flexibility for live-in employment arrangements that may include overnight shifts or on-call duties Join us in providing compassionate caregiving that transforms lives!
