As a Live-In Caregiver, you will work closely with clients to ensure their physical and emotional well-being while fostering a warm and trusting environment. This position is ideal for caring professionals who thrive on building strong relationships and delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Responsibilities Provide attentive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and documenting medical records accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, hospice support, and dementia or Alzheimer's care to ensure comfort and safety Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning to maintain a safe and hygienic living environment Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Recognize signs of medical emergencies or changes in condition; respond promptly by contacting emergency services or healthcare providers as needed Document all patient interactions and medical documentation thoroughly in compliance with healthcare standards Skills Proven experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, or long-term care environments Strong knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and dementia or memory care techniques Skilled in working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate recordkeeping and documentation Ability to perform patient observation diligently and respond proactively to changing needs Certified in CPR and first aid; additional certifications such as hospice care or hospice support are a plus Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams This rewarding role offers the chance to provide compassionate care in a supportive environment where your skills truly make a difference.
