Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Live-In House Parent, where you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for youth in need. This dynamic position combines hands-on caregiving with responsible supervision, fostering positive growth and stability for young individuals. As a Live-In House Parent, you will provide daily support, implement behavioral health strategies, and serve as a trusted role model, all within a supportive community setting. Your energy and commitment will directly impact the lives of youth, helping them develop essential life skills and resilience. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive childcare and behavioral support to youth residing in the program, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Supervise daily activities, including meals, educational pursuits, recreational activities, and personal hygiene routines Manage crisis intervention situations with calmness and professionalism, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate conflicts effectively Conduct intake assessments for new residents and assist with case management to develop individualized care plans Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document medication administration in compliance with policies Maintain detailed records through data entry, filing, and data collection to track progress and ensure compliance with program standards Implement behavioral health strategies and behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior change Ensure security of the residence by monitoring access points and maintaining a safe environment for all residents and staff Communicate regularly with social workers, healthcare providers, families, and community partners to coordinate care and support services Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to medical or safety emergencies Experience Supervising experience in childcare, social work, or behavioral health settings is required Proven crisis intervention skills with the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively Strong background in child development, addiction counseling, or home & community care experience is advantageous Demonstrated conflict management abilities coupled with excellent communication skills Experience in case management processes including intake procedures, data collection, medication administration, and documentation practices Familiarity with security protocols, first aid certification, and behavioral health best practices will enhance your effectiveness in this role Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing compassionate care within a structured environment.
