The Role Barr-Tech is looking for a skilled, safety-focused Loader Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on role for an experienced operator who takes pride in keeping production moving, equipment running well, and the yard operating safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for moving materials throughout our composting facility, loading trucks, feeding equipment, and helping maintain the steady flow of daily operations. The right candidate brings solid equipment experience, good judgment, a strong work ethic, and a team-first attitude. What You'll Do Operate loaders (CAT 972 and similar) and other heavy equipment Load over-the-road trucks accurately and efficiently Move, stack, and manage compost materials throughout the process Feed grinders, screens, and other production equipment Perform daily inspections and basic equipment care Work safely and follow all OSHA and company protocols Support team operations and overall yard flow What We're Looking For 3-5+ years operating loaders or similar heavy equipment Experience loading bulk trucks Experience with excavators or screen plants is a plus Mechanically aware—you can spot and communicate issues Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented Comfortable working outdoors year-round Pay & Benefits $22-$30/hour depending on experience 401(k) with 3% match Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off Overtime opportunities Year-round, stable work with a growing company Schedule Full-time, year-round 8-10 hour shifts Primarily days (occasional nights/weekends) Overtime as needed Requirements Able to commute to Sprague, WA Per
