Job Description
Essex Bank's fast-growing Loan Department is looking for a motivated individual to fill the position of Loan Administration Supervisor. This role will assist with overseeing all aspects of both residential and commercial loan administration and servicing including residential underwriting, loan closings, funding, servicing, reporting and customer service. Qualified individuals must also be able to manage multiple tasks such as: Supervise & Develop Staff Manage daily loan operations, servicing workflow, and staff assignments. Monitor workflow queues and exception reports to implement corrective actions. Train, coach, and mentor staff on procedural adherence and accuracy. Direct employee onboarding, professional development plans, and coverage scheduling. Underwrite & Originate Loans Evaluate residential mortgage files for secondary market compliance and consistency. Direct accurate underwriting, financial review, and consistency of all residential loans. Support residential loan sales and secondary market delivery processes. Manage Loan Servicing & Portfolio Administration Oversee core system loan onboarding, servicing setup, and ongoing account maintenance. Administer loan payments, escrow accounts, insurance tracking, and property taxes. Approve payoffs, releases, subordinations, modifications, and administrative extensions. Control construction loan advances and post-closing line of credit disbursements. Execute year-end servicing functions, annual statements, and required IRS reporting. Ensure Compliance & Quality Control Enforce internal policies and regulatory standards (including CFPB, SCRA, FCRA, and Flood Rules). Facilitate internal audits and regulatory exams through meticulous recordkeeping. Conduct monthly quality control reviews and general ledger account reconciliations. Escalate compliance issues, control gaps, or procedural deviations to management. Optimize Processes & Reporting Analyze daily, monthly, and exception-based servicing reports for accuracy. Identify error trends, control gaps, and system inefficiencies. Leverage technology and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. •
Qualifications Education/Experience:
Associate's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) and 5-7 years of progressive experience in residential underwriting, loan servicing or loan operations.Leadership:
Prior supervisory or lead experience required; demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and guide staff in a fast-paced environment.Technical/Regulatory:
Strong working knowledge of loan servicing systems and post-closing processes, including residential escrow administration (taxes/insurance) and commercial servicing activities (advances, lines of credit, modifications/subordinations), with working familiarity of applicable servicing and compliance requirements. $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 annual salary We offer competitive pay, benefits and an excellent working environment.
