Responsibilities Assist in evaluating loan applications by gathering necessary documentation and performing credit analysis using financial software tools. Support the loan processing team by preparing contracts, documents, and ensuring compliance with TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and other federal regulations. Participate in customer service interactions to address client inquiries, explain loan options, and guide applicants through the loan origination process. Learn to utilize loan servicing software to review loan files, verify data accuracy, and track application progress. Develop negotiation skills by working alongside Loan Officers to present loan terms and secure client approval. Conduct basic math calculations for loan qualification assessments, including debt-to-income ratios and interest computations. Stay informed about lending laws and banking regulations to ensure all lending activities adhere to legal standards. Requirements Strong interest in financial sales, mortgage lending, or banking industries with a desire to pursue a career as a Loan Officer. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Basic math proficiency including 10 key typing skills for data entry accuracy. Familiarity with accounting or financial software or similar platforms is preferred. Knowledge of lending guidelines or willingness to learn underwriting standards and loan origination processes. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality while maintaining attention to detail. Prior experience in sales, credit analysis, or loan officer roles is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
