Local CDL Class A Truck Driver - No Overnights

CDL Driver / Equipment Delivery - Grand Rental (Ludington, MI) Grand Rental is seeking a reliable, safety-focused CDL Driver to join our team in Ludington, Michigan. This role is responsible for the delivery and pickup of rental equipment, supporting daily operations, and providing excellent customer service. This is a local driving position—no overnight travel required. Key Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks and trailers to deliver and pick up rental equipment Load, secure, and unload equipment in accordance with safety standards Plan and navigate efficient delivery routes Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic preventative maintenance Communicate professionally with customers at delivery and pickup locations Assist in the shop with light maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of equipment as needed Support team operations and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment Qualifications Valid Class A CDL (required) High school diploma or GED (required) Minimum of 2 years of relevant driving or equipment handling experience (preferred) Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety guidelines Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in a DOT-compliant random drug testing program Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling Ability to perform inspections and minor maintenance tasks Comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels, odors, and activity Work Environment & Schedule Work is performed outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditions Local routes only — no overnight travel required Flexible scheduling; occasional overtime may be required based on business needs Full-time and part-time opportunities available Expect full-time hours during peak (summer) season Reduced or part-time hours may occur during winter months Compensation & Benefits $22.00 - $25.00 per hour , based on experience 401(k) with company match Health insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Employee discount Uniform allowance Flexible scheduling Location Requirement Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Ludington, MI 49431 prior to starting work Equal Opportunity & Compliance Statement Grand Rental is an equal opportunity employer.
