Local CDL Class A Truck Driver

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely within the local area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. You'll be the backbone of our logistics operation, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, and dump trucks for local deliveries Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary Follow designated routes to deliver freight efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with federal regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly Assist with loading or securing freight on various types of trucks, including manual transmission vehicles and specialized equipment like refrigerated or flatbed trailers Skills Proven experience driving commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers with a valid CDL Class A license Strong knowledge of route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling best practices Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely Familiarity with using forklifts for loading/unloading cargo when required Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT regulations Experience with different types of freight including roll-off containers, dump trucks, or tanker loads is a plus Good communication skills for coordinating deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference! $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
