This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-lowboy trailer, tractor-dump trailer, dump trucks, and more. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll be responsible for transporting equipment, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise in driving and load handling will be vital in keeping operations smooth and successful. You will be home every night! Employee health insurance is now available. Duties Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-dump trailer, dump trucks, and tractor-lowboys to deliver equipment and aggregates across designated routes. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports throughout each shift. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries. Assist with loading or unloading freight when required, especially for specialized loads such as equipment and aggregates. Skills Proven experience driving commercial vehicles with a valid CDL Class A license. Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and truck driving techniques. Experience handling various types of freight including heavy equipment and aggregates. Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment such as forklifts or hand tools. Familiarity with route driving strategies to optimize delivery schedules. Excellent safety awareness and adherence to DOT regulations.
