Local CDL Driver The Turf Company - 3.0 Meridian, ID Job Details Part-time $20 - $28 an hour Qualifications Forklift Full Job Description The Turf Company is seeking a reliable and skilled Part-Time CDL Driver to support our local delivery operations throughout the Treasure Valley. This role is responsible for safely transporting and unloading sod and related materials in Meridian, Kuna, Nampa, Eagle, and surrounding Idaho communities . This position averages 10-30 hours per week , with the opportunity for increased hours (up to 45) during peak season. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, customer-oriented, and comfortable operating both commercial vehicles and forklifts. Duties Operate commercial delivery vehicles, including flatbed trucks Safely load, transport, and unload sod while preserving product quality Operate a forklift to load and offload pallets at job sites Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Follow designated local delivery routes while complying with all traffic laws and DOT regulations Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and fuel tracking Communicate clearly with dispatch, farm operations, and customers regarding delivery timing Represent The Turf Company professionally at residential, commercial, and contractor job sites Assist with yard organization and loading preparation when needed Step into additional hours during busy harvest and installation seasons Qualifications Valid CDL certification Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred Forklift experience required Experience with flatbed driving Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills Strong communication and customer service skills Why Join The Turf Company?
