Job description Description This contract position offers an exceptional opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical practice environment, providing vital care to newborns and their families. As a Locum Neonatologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical care to our youngest patients. You will be responsible for managing neonatal intensive care units, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for infants. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to neonates in a clinical setting Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care Monitor and manage critically ill newborns in the NICU Communicate effectively with families regarding treatment and progress Stay current with the latest advancements in neonatology Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology Active medical license in the state of practice Strong clinical skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice Experience in a neonatal intensive care setting is preferred
Schedule:
7a-4p + overnight call 30-bed
Level II NICU Annual Admissions:
500 patients
Daily Volume:
18.5 patients
Patient Population:
65% Level II acuity, 35% Level III acuity, < 10 % Level IV acuity Bread & butter neonatal procedures are required
EMR:
Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
