As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a variety of gastrointestinal disorders, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals, contributing to the overall health and well-being of the community. This role provides a competitive salary, and your expertise will help shape the future of patient care in our practice. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and examinations Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders and diseases Perform endoscopic procedures and other necessary interventions Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop patient care plans Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Participate in continuing education and professional development Ensure compliance with medical regulations and standards Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Valid medical license to practice in the state of Arizona Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred Experience in a clinical setting, ideally in Gastroenterology Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to providing high-quality patient care Basic proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
Level III Trauma Schedule:
24-hour call shifts In-house 7a-4p, on call afterwards
Setting:
Inpatient Daily Volume:
6-12 patients
Patient Population:
Adults only Procedures are required ERCP required, EUS preferred
Support Staff:
APPs, endo lab, RNs, techs, anesthesia, etc.
EMR:
Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
