Job Description
Logistics Coordinator
We're currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team. This role supports the efficient movement of products through strong coordination, data analysis, and collaboration with carriers, warehouses, and internal teams. About the Role The Logistics Coordinator supports transportation and logistics activities across our operations using our Transportation Management System (TMS). This position plays an important role in ensuring shipments move efficiently, cost-effectively, and on time while supporting strong relationships with carriers and vendors. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with data, and coordinating moving pieces in a fast-paced environment, this role could be a great fit. What You'll Do Coordinate seed shipments using our TMS (ShipperEdge), including: LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) from distribution centers to customers. Full Truckload (inbound, outbound, transfers, and direct-to-customer). Intermodal inbound shipments. Small parcel deliveries. Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within ShipperEdge TMS. Analyze freight costs and assist with forecasting. Collaborate with carriers to support consistent service performance. Track carrier lead times and provide input to support inventory planning decisions. Leverage logistics data to inform day-to-day operational decisions. Act as a primary contact for logistics-related inquiries, including freight quotes and routing guidance. Monitor and report key logistics KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery rate, damage claims, average lane cost). Build and maintain professional relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders while reinforcing company values. Assists with other duties as assigned. What You Bring Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization skills and follow-up skills with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy. Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook). Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. Ability to work over-time hours as needed. Willingness to travel occasionally.
