Monday-Friday; 7:30AM-4:00PM Summary The Logistics Safety and Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day handling of fleet insurance claims for ProVia Logistics. This role investigates accidents and incidents, evaluates and works through property, auto, and casualty claims, identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities, and serves as a key communication point between our drivers, the general public, legal counsel, insurance agents, and our logistics and operations teams. The Specialist also assists with other fleet compliance tasks as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Insurance Claims & Investigation Investigate accidents, incidents, and claims involving ProVia Logistics tractors, trailers, drivers, and cargo. Gather and review accident reports, photos, telematics data, driver statements, witness information, police reports, repair estimates, and medical documentation to build complete claim files. Evaluate and work through property, auto, and casualty claims, coordinating with insurance carriers, adjusters, repair vendors, and other parties to bring claims to appropriate resolution. Maintain accurate, well-organized claim files and documentation that meet legal, regulatory, and internal recordkeeping standards. Track claim activity, status, and outcomes, and provide regular updates to the Safety & Compliance Manager. Subrogation Identify, analyze, and document subrogation potential on every applicable claim. Build and pursue subrogation files in coordination with insurance carriers and legal counsel to recover ProVia's losses where another party is at fault. Maintain documentation that supports recovery efforts and protects ProVia's position. Communication & Coordination Communicate clearly and professionally with ProVia drivers throughout the claims process. Work directly with insurance agents, brokers, adjusters, and legal counsel on active claims and ongoing fleet risk matters. Other Compliance Tasks as Needed Support fleet compliance work as needed, including permits, license plates, registrations, Certificates of Insurance, and related documentation for ProVia Logistics tractors and trailers. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Alignment with ProVia's mission, values, and faith-based culture. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple active claim files and competing deadlines. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact comfortably with drivers, the general public, insurance agents, legal counsel, and ProVia's logistics and operations teams. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and solid typing/keyboarding ability. Sound judgment, discretion, and trustworthiness when handling confidential driver, legal, and financial information. Preferred Five or more years of experience in the insurance industry. Direct experience investigating accidents and handling claims. Experience evaluating and settling property, auto, and casualty claims — commercial auto experience a strong plus. Familiarity with subrogation processes, claim evaluation, and working with adjusters, agents, and legal counsel.Similar jobs in Strasburg, OH
