Job Description

The Logistics Specialist role is a bit of sales, customer service, and operations all rolled into one. No day is ever the same! Your primary responsibility is to establish and maintain quality relationships with customers and shippers. We need you to add new qualified accounts while maintaining your current client base. You will be finding solutions to our customers' problems through teamwork and collaboration with our carrier services team. Once you have quoted and won business, you will then oversee the shipment to completion, all while updating and communicating back to your customer when necessary. You Motivated to solve problems and puzzles. Thrive in a team atmosphere where success is celebrated. Adapt quickly to challenging situations. Love talking with people and negotiating win-wins. Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and clients Outbound phone calls to solicit freight from current and potential customers Coordinate, quote, and monitor shipments Resolve customer questions and provide solutions related to shipments Maintain customer databases:
TMS & CRM
Develop knowledge on market, industry, and trends and use it to inform your work Consistently and proactively look for ways to improve our processes and operations
Must-Haves:
Excellent written and verbal communications skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to successfully and professionally resolve conflicts and negotiate Creativity and outside-of-the-box thinking to solve problems Task management and prioritization: proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Team player who is also self-motivated Proficiency in general office computer skills: email, internet,
MS Office, Excel Nice-to-Haves:
