Job Description

Job Title:
Logistics Specialist I Location:
Chicago, IL 60638
Duration:
2+ Months (Possibility of extension depending upon business requirements and performance)
Shift:
Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate day-to-day logistics activities related to shipping and receiving operations Monitor and manage inbound and outbound product movement to ensure accurate tracking and timely delivery Communicate with carriers, vendors, and logistics partners regarding scheduling, pickups, and deliveries Prepare, review, and manage Bills of Lading (BOLs) and required shipping documentation for carriers and drivers Handle nightly shipment closures and ensure documentation is complete and accurate Partner closely with the Customer Service team to support order fulfillment, resolve delivery issues, and meet service level expectations Identify and escalate logistical issues as needed to support production and customer requirements Perform additional duties as assigned during the temporary assignment
Required Qualifications:
1 or more years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain support Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage daily tasks, urgent issues, and follow-up activities effectively Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams Ability to exercise independent judgment and think critically in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
Intermediate Microsoft Suite skills, particularly Word and Outlook. Fluent in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to balance daily work, urgent issues, and follow?up tasks. Comfortable asking questions and working with different teams. 1 or more years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain management. Ability to exercise independent judgement, think critically and work well in cross-functional teams.
