05/11/2026 The Plum Borough School District is seeking a passionate, reflective, and inquiry-driven educator to serve as a Long Term Substitute - Speech Language Pathologist (Grades PK-12). The Speech-Language Pathologist PK-12 is a skilled educational specialist who supports students in developing the communication skills necessary for academic success and meaningful participation in school and life. Primary Responsibilities Conduct assessments to identify communication disorders and determine educational impact. Provide diagnostic, prescriptive, and therapeutic services aligned to student needs. Develop and implement individualized education programs IEPs in accordance with IDEA, Chapter 14, and PDE regulations. Deliver services through a range of models, including direct, consultative, and classroom-based support. Collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and related service providers to support communication across environments. Support access to curriculum by embedding communication strategies within instructional settings. Address communication needs across speaking, listening, reading, writing, and social interaction, including the use of augmentative and alternative communication when appropriate. Integrate evidence-based practices and assistive technology to enhance outcomes. Monitor progress, analyze data, and adjust instruction and intervention accordingly. Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including evaluation, IEP development, and progress monitoring. Maintain accurate and compliant documentation. Contribute to a standards-aligned system through coordination of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and intervention practices. Provide consultation and training to staff and families. Engage in ongoing professional learning aligned with district priorities and professional standards. May serve as teacher of record for students identified with speech and language impairments when assigned. Qualifications Valid Pennsylvania certification in School Speech and Language Pathologist PK-12 (CSPG 86) . Certificate of Clinical Competence CCC-SLP from ASHA required Pennsylvania State License in Speech-Language Pathology Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from a program aligned with ASHA standards.
