Our organization is dedicated to fostering skilled, reliable, and safety-conscious electrical professionals committed to excellence. Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of communication networks, security systems, and telecommunication infrastructure, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our clients' facilities. Duties Install, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, VoIP telephony, fiber optic cabling, Ethernet networks, and access control systems Perform fiber splicing and cable management using hand tools and power tools to ensure optimal connectivity Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for accurate system installation and repair Conduct network installation tasks involving Cat5, Cat6 cabling, Cisco routers, Juniper equipment, and LAN configurations Perform equipment repairs and maintenance on telecommunication hardware such as Avaya systems and other telephony devices Assist in data center setups by installing network hardware and ensuring proper power distribution according to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Use testing instruments such as ohmmeters to verify circuit integrity and troubleshoot electrical issues effectively Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician or low voltage technician with a focus on telecommunications or networking systems Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LANs, VLANs, and IP addressing Familiarity with schematics, electrical codes (NEC), and safety standards for low voltage installations Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, cable termination (Cat5/Cat6), and equipment repair in data centers or similar environments Proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters, power tools, hand tools, and testing devices necessary for installation and troubleshooting Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various field service settings while adhering to safety protocols Join us in delivering top-tier low voltage solutions that keep our clients connected securely!
