POSITION SUMMARY

The company is seeking individuals for the role of Lowboy Driver. This role requires a clean Class A CDL. Work includes moving company-owned equipment to and from various jobsites mostly in the Central Ohio area. The driver will be dispatched daily from Galena, Ohio. Equipment being moved includes trackhoes, dozers, off road trucks, and various other pieces of heavy equipment. Certain loads are permitted over weight and/or over width. Work is year round.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members in a professional manner Ensure that all deliveries are completed on time Able to operate equipment to load truck/trailer Loads and secure a load in 1 hour Communicates throughly with the Equipment Manager and Foreman regarding upcoming moves Able to direct a helper Able to self- arrange a list of moves in a logical order Can perform all truck and trailer maintenance, service, and minor repairs Able to train other employees

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent Class A CDL with a clean driving record Authorized to work in the United States 3+ years of experience/ knowledge of operating various pieces of heavy equipment from large Ag tractors, trackhoes, dozers, skidloaders and everything in between. Knowledge of ODOT regulations including reading permits, specific routing, proper securing and tie down of equipment. Must be safe and take pride in their work and equipment. Mechanical experience a plus. Must be able to pass witnessed urine and hair drug test to qualify for employment.
