# of Openings 1 Category Operations Overview Primary responsibility is to drive over-the-road trucks to deliver equipment or materials to job site locations. Lowboy Transport Truck drivers are also required to maintain a valid class A CDL and DOT medical card. Truck drivers must perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues to a supervisor. Responsibilities Delivering equipment or materials to the job site in safe and timely fashion. Loading and unloading materials. Operate all equipment to load for transportation. Secure equipment for transport. Accurate and timely reporting of all DVIR and daily logs. Maintenance of equipment and tools - lockout/tagout program, good housekeeping standards, etc. Ensure complete obedience of all safety procedures and policies of Blackjack Paving and driving laws, including all DOT rules and regulations. Pre-trip and post-trip inspections are required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years CDL driving experience. Lowboy specific experience preferred. Required to be over the age of 21 to meet insurance requirements. Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA safety regulations. Experience in heavy equipment operation. Ability to work mostly independently. Ability to work under constraints and make the most out of allotted resources. Problem solving attitude. Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty environments. Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required. Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary. Be able to work overtime when required. Must have strong work ethic. Communication skills, ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times. Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures. Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements. Employee must be able to climb equipment's ladder to reach the operator's seat. Position requires periodic lifting of up to 50 LBS. Interpersonal skills, time management, thoroughness, confidence, communication skills, organizational skills are required. Must demonstrate professionalism, have a sense of urgency to meet deadlines, multi-task and set priorities effectively, flexible and adaptive to change, accomplish goals in a team environment, attention to detail, strive for excellence, possess a positive "can do" attitude, and have excellent sense of balance.
