$2000 Job Summary Under direction of a registered professional nurse performs the duties required to care for clients; carries out medical orders prescribed by the physician that require an understanding of practical nursing duties and best practices. Duties Include LPN Administer medication as prescribed by a physician LPN Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight LPN Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas LPN Give injections of medication LPN Immunizations Take medical histories Enter information into computer systems Follow supervisory directives Maintain accurate medical records Chart client care Account for narcotics,barbiturates and other accountable drugs observe clients closely for reaction to drugs, treatment, any other unusual conditions Notifies the physician or supervisor as to ny new condition of the client requiring medical attention
