PM Rate:
Local $1,192 / 40 hours Required credentials: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license BLS certification Core responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, vital signs, and routine assessments. Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and participate in care plan implementation. Administer medications and treatments per orders; ensure correct dosing and documentation.
Manage wounds/incisions:
evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or complications. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate patient records of assessments, treatments, and medication administration. Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care. Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids; ensure proper IV line insertion and function.
Provide catheter care:
insertion, maintenance, and complication monitoring. Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care. Attend to patient comfort, mobility assistance, positioning, and pain management. Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support as needed. Follow infection control protocols and proper use of PPE. Handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies according to regulations. Promote preventive care (vaccinations, screenings) and assist with health assessments. Advocate for patient rights and needs. Supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel when assigned. Complete other duties as assigned by management.
