Do You Qualify? You have a valid (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse License in good standing? You have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions such as Spina Bifida? (Preferred) You have strong skills in patient assessment, infection control practices, and emergency response techniques including basic life support (BLS)? You have experience with catheterizations? (continued training available)

  • Your Responsibilities!
Provide specialized care tailored to adults with Spina Bifida, including skin integrity management, mobility assistance, and neurogenic bladder/bowel care, including straight catheterizations and bowel stimulation. Perform detailed patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations to determine ongoing care needs. Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Transport client using the client's handicap-accessible van Collaborate with physicians, the director of nursing, and family members to develop and update individualized care plans aligned with best practices in long-term and home care settings.
