Job Description

Job Title:
Lull Operator Job Description We are seeking a lull operator to join our team starting immediately. We are working on new build construction projects and are seeking someone that has at least one year of lull experience transporting materials to the top floors of buildings. This position will be out of Lexington, MA and will pay $30 an hour. It will start as soon as tomorrow if you're ready to go. An MA 2A1C is required. Responsibilities Operate a lull forklift and other forklifts safely and efficiently on a commercial construction site. Handle, move, and stage lumber, panels, and other building materials as directed by site supervision. Support wood framing activities when not operating the forklift, including assisting framing crews with day-to-day tasks. Follow construction blueprints and site plans to position materials and equipment accurately. Work closely with framing crews and other trades to maintain smooth workflow and minimize delays or rework. Inspect equipment before use and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with site safety standards. Follow all site safety procedures, signage, and directions, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Adapt to changing site needs and priorities, taking on general labor tasks as needed to keep the project on schedule. Essential Skills Valid 2A-1C license required. Proven experience operating a lull forklift on commercial construction job sites. Experience working in commercial construction environments. Ability to read and follow construction blueprints and site layout plans. Demonstrated skill in heavy equipment operation, including safe maneuvering in tight or active work areas. Strong awareness of construction site safety practices and procedures. Ability and willingness to perform physical general labor and framing support tasks as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating additional heavy equipment such as excavators is a plus. Familiarity with multi-family, assisted living, hotel, student housing, or podium-style projects is an advantage. Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving construction environment with complex hardware and structural requirements. Ability to collaborate effectively with framing crews and other trades on site. Work Environment This position is 100% on site at an active commercial construction project in Milford. You will work outdoors and in partially enclosed structures, exposed to typical construction site conditions such as varying weather, noise, and ongoing activity from multiple trades. The role involves regular use of lull forklifts and other heavy equipment, as well as handling lumber, panels, and hardware for framing. You can expect a physically demanding environment that requires standing, walking, lifting, and climbing throughout the day. Standard construction attire and appropriate personal protective equipment are required at all times on site. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
