Lumberyard Associate

About the Role National Lumber is looking for a dependable, hard-working Yard Associate to join our Operations team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor environment and take pride in doing physical work well, this is your kind of job. You'll be a key part of our daily yard operations: loading and unloading building materials, pulling and staging orders, helping customers, and keeping the yard running safely and efficiently. This is a role where your effort is visible every single day. What You'll Be Doing Loading/unloading lumber, windows, doors, cabinets, and other building materials Pulling and staging orders accurately from pick tickets Assisting with deliveries using box trucks and flatbed vehicles Stocking lumber racks and maintaining a clean, organized yard Operating yard forklifts (experience preferred — training available) Helping customers load their trucks with professionalism and care Seasonal duties including snow shoveling and plowing during winter storms Occasional Saturday counter work — building trades knowledge is a plus What We're Looking For Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly (this is a physically demanding role, heavier lifts are common) Valid CT driver's license and clean driving record ✅ Ability to pass a drug test Comfort working outdoors year-round; heat, cold, rain, and everything in between Forklift experience a major plus (we'll train the right candidate) 2 years of experience in the building industry preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred Computer and phone proficiency What We Offer Competitive pay Benefits package Overtime frequently available A team that works hard and has your back Opportunity to grow into a full-time permanent role

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM | Saturdays as needed
