We are currently seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to join our dynamic clinical team. Position Summary:
The LVN provides direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Director of Nursing. This includes administering medications and treatments, supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), monitoring patient care, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory and facility standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support CNAs in delivering quality care Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Chart all care provided, resident responses, and any changes in condition Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers Participate in care planning, quality assurance initiatives, and staff development Conduct rounds and ensure compliance with nursing procedures Respond to emergencies and provide critical nursing interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with state and facility policies Promote resident rights, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
Current and unencumbered LVN license in the state of California Graduate of an accredited LVN program CPR certification required Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills Proficient in basic computer use and electronic medical records (PCC experience preferred)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 25+ lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching Must be able to respond to emergency situations and provide hands-on care Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment Why Join Sierra Valley Rehab Center?
