Job Description

Job Title:
Automation Machine Operator Job Description This role focuses on setting up, operating, and maintaining terminal block automation machinery in a modern production environment. You will ensure machines run efficiently, products meet quality standards, and minor issues are resolved quickly to minimize downtime. The position requires hands-on work with automated equipment, regular inspection of parts, and accurate documentation of production activities while following all safety and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities Set up and calibrate automated machines according to production specifications and job requirements. Monitor machine performance throughout the shift and adjust settings to maintain optimal operation and throughput. Inspect products regularly for quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the production cycle. Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues as they arise to keep machines running. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machines to prevent unplanned downtime. Document production data, machine performance metrics, and any issues encountered in an accurate and timely manner. Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory standards while operating machinery and handling materials. Work independently on assigned machines, making sound decisions to keep production on schedule. Collaborate with team members and other departments as needed to support smooth and efficient production flow. Essential Skills Prior experience in machine operation in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to operate and monitor automation machinery safely and efficiently. Proficiency in troubleshooting and fixing minor machine issues without relying on maintenance support. Strong attention to detail for performing visual and dimensional inspections of products. Basic understanding of mechanical systems and machine functions. Ability to follow written work instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures. Comfort using a PC for basic data entry and documentation of production information. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks during a shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating automation machinery is a strong plus. Background in plastic-related production or processing is beneficial. Exposure to soldering tasks in a manufacturing setting is an advantage. Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings supports effective machine setup and inspection. Mechanical assembly experience contributes to understanding machine components and product construction. Production and wiring experience are helpful for working with terminal block products and related assemblies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
