The operator inspects and packages the envelopes that the machine has produced.
Take several envelopes and fan them out under inspection llight to make sure gum (glue) is only in the proper places Every 30 minutes:
Unfold an envelope under inspection light to check gum Inspect patch (plastic window) Fan a group of envelope to check print quality and ink color Take one envelope, visually inspect it, stamp and initial it, and Clip it to a large freestanding sample board. Take a full carton, open it, and inspect several envelopes from one box.
Calculate envelopes processed during the shift and put this information on the production chart
Job requires extensive standing in a confined area.
Occasional walking for a short distance is necessary.
Good visual acuity and color discrimination is required.
Requires good bimanual coordination to manipulate stacks of envelopes without dropping them.

OVERVIEW
The machine operator feeds precut envelope paper into the machine which then forms and prints plain and window envelopes.The operator inspects and packages the envelopes that the machine has produced.
Shift Premium:
7p-7a (Continuous)- $2.
TASKS:
Place a stack of precut envelope forms into the machine feeder Pick up stack of 500 envelopes that machine has dispensed and turn them over Place stack of 500 envelopes into box and place lid on box Place box into carton Bulk jobs go directly into a carton without being boxed first Assemble boxes and cartons as needed Constant observation of the machine for proper operation Inspection process: Every 15 minutes:Take several envelopes and fan them out under inspection llight to make sure gum (glue) is only in the proper places Every 30 minutes:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job requires full-extension of upper extremities, frequent reaching, occasionally above shoulder height, leaning/bending across equipment and lifting 5-10 pounds frequently and up to 35 pounds occasionally.Job requires extensive standing in a confined area.
