Job Title:
Machine Operator and Assembler
  • WEEKLY PAY
  • START ASAP
  • $22 AN HOUR Job Description This role involves operating production line machinery, performing product assembly, and conducting routine quality checks to ensure all products meet established specifications.
You will support efficient manufacturing by loading and unloading parts, completing production documentation, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Responsibilities Operate production line machinery safely and efficiently while performing product assembly tasks. Load and unload parts into machinery and monitor equipment during operation. Perform regular quality checks on products, making adjustments as necessary to keep output within specifications. Reject and properly document any product that does not meet quality standards. Troubleshoot production line machinery to resolve basic mechanical or process issues. Perform equipment change-overs as needed to support different products or production runs. Follow standard operating procedures and Job Safety Analysis requirements at all times. Complete accurate daily production logs and other required documentation. Perform preventive maintenance on production line machinery as assigned. Communicate effectively with operators on other shifts to ensure smooth handoffs and consistent production. Clean and maintain the work area to support a safe and organized production environment. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use, following proper lockout/tagout procedures. Assist maintenance and manufacturing engineers as needed during equipment adjustments or improvements. Provide on-the-job training and support to new employees to help them learn equipment and processes. Carry out other related duties as assigned to support overall production and operational goals. Essential Skills At least 6 months of production or manufacturing experience. Experience in machine operation and assembly line work. Ability to perform general production and assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely and repeatedly as required. Ability to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math to complete production logs and follow work instructions. Comfort working with production machinery, welders, and assembly equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production assembly, machine operation, or general labor in a manufacturing setting. Experience performing basic troubleshooting on production line machinery. Familiarity with quality control practices and following standard operating procedures. Ability to follow safety guidelines, including lockout/tagout procedures. Willingness to assist maintenance and manufacturing engineers as needed. Ability to train and support new team members on equipment and processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a busy manufacturing facility where machines, welders, and assemblers operate in the same building. The environment does not have air conditioning and can be somewhat dirty, so candidates should be comfortable working in an industrial setting. Steel-toe footwear is required as part of the safety attire. The current team consists of approximately 60 employees, with continued growth expected. The standard schedule is a first-shift or second-shift, 10-hour workday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m and 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.., Monday through Thursday. Working OT on Friday Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, SD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00
  • $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
