Machine Operator Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Inspect equipment for cleanliness and safe operation. Ensure adherence in following the specifications for each product. Must maintain high quality production standards at direction of production manager/supervisor Perform lot changes in conjunction with production manager and other supervisors Set up, start up, and shut down all aspects of the equipment. Ensure maximum performance of equipment. Monitor product flow rate and make adjustments as needed. Demonstrate high levels of good manufacturing practices Adhere to all company policies and procedures including values, safety, attendance and standard operating procedures Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required Keep area clean and organized at all times Minimum Qualifications Good observation skills Ability to follow a routine schedule and to handle numerous projects in progress at one time Ability to accurately follow instructions and take direction Ability to respond to frequently changing production pressures Ability to work independently with limited supervision Must be able to read and write English Must be able to work in cold environment (35°F) Must be able to stand and be on your feet for extended periods of time Must be able to work in a loud environment (PPE will be provided) Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Prior working experience in a Food Manufacturing setting required Good communication skills, both verbal and written Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work in a team environment Must have knowledge of manufacturing process and equipment Previous operating experience preferred Must be able to communicate with all levels of management Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Schedule:

Typical schedule is 6:00am to 2:30 pm but machine operators will need to set up and break down equipment daily. Typically work a five day week but occasional Saturdays may be required Overtime required at times
