Machine Operator

Job Overview The Grace Extruder Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the extrusion line and supporting equipment to ensure consistent production, product quality, and minimal downtime. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following all safety and operational procedures. Responsibilities Operate and monitor the Grace extruder and supporting production equipment Maintain consistent material flow and monitor machine performance during operation Adjust machine settings, temperatures, pressures, and feed rates as needed to maintain product quality Inspect pellets/material output regularly to ensure quality standards are met Troubleshoot operational issues and communicate maintenance needs promptly Monitor and document production data, downtime, material usage, and quality concerns Assist with startup, shutdown, cleanouts, and changeovers of the extrusion line Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area throughout the shift Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines Work closely with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and other operators to maintain production goals Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when needed Qualifications & Experience Previous manufacturing or extrusion experience preferred Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills strongly preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment Ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Basic math and measurement skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Forklift experience is a plus Requirements Must be reliable and maintain consistent attendance Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends as scheduled Must be willing to pass a background check Must be willing to pass a drug screening What We Offer Full-time employment opportunities Overtime opportunities Hands-on training Growth opportunities within the company Team-oriented work environment
