Machine Operator-Production Support

Pay:

$26.98 per hour Job description: Perform physical labor as required to handle materials, and produce extruded and/or die molded carbon product in accordance with defined SOP's and specifications. Perform any other duties, as required by the department supervisor or manager, to support department, plant, and company objectives and/or goals. Core Competencies Understand and follow instructions. Read, write, listen, and communicate verbally. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Learn and execute specific tasks with minimal supervision. Train new employees when required. Understand material grades and markings. Assist with inventory control through the proper sorting and segregation of materials. Maintain an acceptable attendance record. Understand and follow all company policies and procedures. Operate mobile and process equipment. Perform physical labor. Ascend and descend stairs and ladders, push, pull, lift, grasp, and pinch. Recognize and correct out of specification situations and notify supervision. Correctly add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert fractions into decimals. Effectively and efficiently perform autonomous maintenance on equipment as required. Accurately complete and interpret all required paperwork and process documentation. Know how and where to access operations manuals and specifications. Perform all work assignments in a safe and efficient manner and obey/follow all departmental and general company safety rules, policies and procedures. Demonstrate a high level of situational awareness, good housekeeping practices, and commitment to quality.

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Team oriented but can work independently
• Proactive owner of processes
• Commitment to safety (i.e., high level of situational awareness)
• Commitment to quality (i.e., SGL Excellence)
• Self Motivated
• Quick learner

Preferred Experience:

• 2-3 yrs industrial manufacturing environment
• Fork-lift operator
• Mobile equipment operation
