Job Description:

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and insuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Move empty racks into position for loading and loading logs onto racks. Send out correct diameters of slicing logs to freezer. Chang film as needed. Identify and stripping out defective logs. Drain water from bottom of KP and inspecting equipment. Set up and breaking down grinders. Record condition of grinder plates on grinder inspection sheets and turning in to lead/supervisor. Inform QA and Production Supervisor in the event of issues with equipment/grinder or raw materials. Informs and assists Maintenance persons in identifying and correcting problems with machines. Performs PM's on equipment in assigned Department.

REQUIREMENTS

Basic Math Skills and ability to become certified in Lock Out tag Out Program. Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals. Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours. Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting. Must have a minimum of 6 months cumulative industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training. Must be willing and able to pinch/grip product and place into specified location.

Physical Requirements:

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Must have 6 MThs continuous employment in the last 18 months. Preferred candidates will have at least 6 MThs of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agriculture or production experience.
