Machining Group Leader - 1 Brookville position available and 1 Moraine position available

Summary:

DMAX Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors that produces the Duramax 6.6L V-8 turbo-diesel engine for Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickup trucks. DMAX combines deep diesel expertise with advanced manufacturing capabilities to meet the demands of our heavy-duty truck customers. There are 2 positions available. One will be onsite supporting our facility in Brookville, OH. The other position will be onsite at our facility in Moraine, OH with plans to transition to Brookville in the future.

Role Overview:

As a machining group leader in Brookville, you will be responsible for leading teams of employees to drive operational excellence across machining processes. This includes managing daily operations, developing and improving business processes, and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration. You will be expected to apply independent judgement within the framework of Global Manufacturing Systems, with a strong focus on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost and Environment (SPQRCE). Job Responsibilities o Responsible for the efficiency of personnel, material and equipment o Meets production cost schedule and maintains quality requirements o Comply with the terms of local and national labor agreements o Implements safety and good housekeeping practices o Frequent contact with others outside the work group o JPH continuous improvements o Promotes the development and maintenance of productive union relationships o Maintains departmental records Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)​​ o Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures o Machining experience o High level of oral and written communication skills o Experience supervising employees in a union manufacturing environment o Flexibility to work any shift Preferred Qualifications o Experience with the Throughput Improvement Process (TIP) o Experience with Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS)

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
