Shift:
5:00 AM - 2:30 PM ($23.00/hr+) 2nd
Shift:
3:00 PM - 12:30 AM ($24.00/hr+) Job Summary We are actively seeking a highly skilled Machinist (Level II) for a long-term, contract-to-hire opportunity in Spanish Fork, UT. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, setting up, and operating various machine tools including lathes, mills, and grinders. If you have 3+ years of machining experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to machine parts to exacting tolerances, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities Setup & Operation:
Perform machine setup and operate horizontal/vertical lathes, milling machines, and grinding machines (Manual and CNC).
Precision Machining:
Perform complex operations such as turning, boring, facing, helical and spiral milling, threading, tapping, and slotting on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Review engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications to plan the sequence of operations and compute angular/linear dimensions.
Tooling:
Determine appropriate cutting/grinding tools, holding methods, speeds, and feeds; improvise and adapt standard tooling as needed.
Quality & Safety:
Grind your own cutting tools/bits, perform basic preventative maintenance on machines, and maintain a strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of related machining experience (setting up and operating mills, lathes, and grinders).
Education:
High School Diploma, equivalent, or technical/trade school training.
Technical Skills:
Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as cut, load, and secure raw stock into machining equipment.
