Day shift (overtime available) Immediate Opening We are seeking an experienced Manual Toolroom Machinist to support a manufacturing operation producing welded steel tubing and fabricated components. This is not a CNC programming/operator position. The role focuses on building, modifying, repairing, and maintaining tooling, machine components, fixtures, shafts, and production equipment used in a heavy manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Operate manual engine lathes Operate manual mills / Bridgeport / end mills Operate surface grinders Operate Karstens cylindrical grinder (strongly preferred) Repair and fabricate tooling, shafts, bushings, rollers, spacers, fixtures, and machine components Read blueprints and sketches Work from dimensions and tolerances Use precision measuring instruments: Micrometers Dial indicators Calipers Bore gauges Height gauges Troubleshoot worn or damaged machine components Work closely with maintenance and production teams Support emergency machine repairs when required Qualifications 5+ years manual machining experience preferred Strong toolroom or maintenance machining background Ability to hold tolerances and inspect work independently Experience with steel fabrication and repair work Welding/fabrication experience is a plus Experience in manufacturing or industrial equipment environments preferred Preferred Backgrounds Tool & die Maintenance machinist Repair machinist Toolroom machinist Industrial maintenance technician with machining experience Compensation Competitive pay based on experience.
