• POSITION SUMMARY

• This position will primarily be programming, performing setups, and in charge of operation & scheduling of work for our Citizen Swiss lathe.

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

•

Perform Machinist Operations:

Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others. Set-up and operate machines in accordance with travelers and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.). Create, edit and/or retrieve programs from system files and execute Manufacture product that meets quality requirements. ¨NBSP;Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection Meet time and schedule standards for assigned task Properly use the E2 management system to record job information Advise supervision of issues that arise Identify issues and opportunities in meeting cost requirements of assigned work Identify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities and communicate to proper 6S team leads Keep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levels Return all fixtures and tooling upon job completion

• QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Knowledge of Citizen Swiss Lathe A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture Organizational and time management skills Self starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work day/projects independently Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge and use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments; Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on other various machines Basic math skills, to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication •

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED

• 3 years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment or manufacturing and technology degree

• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIRED

• Valid driver's license
