Mail Order Pharmacist - Independence, KY

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A growing digital mail order pharmacy is seeking an experienced pharmacist to support increased prescription volume due to a new client onboarding. This is a contract opportunity lasting approximately 13 weeks, starting immediately. The pharmacy specializes in dispensing non-insurance medications, focusing mainly on generic drugs, with some brand name and specialty medications included. Prescriptions are filled for all 50 states plus Washington, D.C.

Independence, KY Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00

PM Key Responsibilities:

Perform full cycle pharmacy dispensing and fulfillment Accurately check and verify prescriptions Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations Adapt quickly to high-volume workflow demands Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Licensed Pharmacist in Kentucky (pharmacists licensed in Cincinnati, OH are encouraged to confirm KY licensure eligibility) Proven experience in high-volume retail pharmacy settings Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with evolving workflows This role offers a unique chance to work with a high-volume mail order pharmacy that is expanding rapidly.
