Job Opening The Town of Munster Indiana Public Works Dept. has a laborer opening. Responsibilities Position in Water/Sewer Division has these duties: Maintain and repair: potable & storm water storage/distribution systems, catch basins and wastewater collection/distribution systems. Install and repair water mains, valves, meters, hydrants and sewers. Read water meters and take water samples

• Sweep & snowplow Town streets and assist Street Division seasonally with the following:
• Maintain and repair streets: patch potholes, seal cracks, grind & re-pave asphalt.
• Maintain buildings and grounds, assist with facility related projects.
• Mow grass, brush/leaf pickup, chip wood, mosquito control, trim trees, install signs.

Qualifications Must obtain a valid State CDL-B Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement within 3 months that the Town will assist in training. Water/Sewer Division candidates with

DSL & WT2

Water Certification are preferred. Must be available for overtime call-out. Must be trainable to operate heavy construction vehicles/equipment/tools that might include backhoe, front-end loader, heavy roller, woodchipper, trailers, and snowplow. Must speak, read & write fluent English. HS diploma/equivalent required. Prefer Public Works or transferable experience. Must pass drug/alcohol test and background check. Page 1
