Job Description

Aircraft Mechanic Anchorage, AK 99522 Full-time, Contract Full-time, Contract AOG Resources is seeking experienced and licensed A&P Mechanic to perform heavy maintenance on commercial aircraft. This role involves servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, and overhauling aircraft systems and components in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company procedures.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for mechanical maintenance and repair on commercial aircraft.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Minimum 3 years' experience includes but not limited to the following: System knowledge on several current commercial aircraft types, Perform component removal/replacement, Capable of performing ADs/SBs with minimum to no supervision, Capable of researching appropriate authorized or approved data as necessary to perform assigned tasks, Accurately evaluate and disposition non-routines (N/R's), Effective system troubleshooter, Performs complex system operational checks, Ability to assist as a liaison between Engineering and Production, Ability/willingness to learn and train, Properly complete required paperwork manually or online
OTHER JOB EXPERIENCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
More than 5 years' experience and responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Complex component replacement, Engine removal/ replacement (wing/tail), Engine run up procedures, Engine trim procedures, throttle rigging, Landing gear change, main and nose, Nose wheel steering rigging, Flight control surface balancing procedure, Trim tab wight & balance, Flight Control rigging, Flight Control and General safety lockout procedures, Stabilizer rigging, Spoiler rigging, Flap rigging, Slat rigging, Slat/flap control cable change, Horizontal stabilizer jackscrew replacement, APU removal/installation, APU operation, A/C towing supervisor/tug operator, Work lift platform operator, A/C pressurization procedures, Cargo/Entry door rigging, Troubleshooting hydraulic systems, air condition systems, pneumatic systems, Knowledge of aircraft manuals, ATA codes, SRMs, Service Bulletins, E.O.s and related materials, Knowledge of applicable F.A.R. 's and company policies and procedures, Knowledge of paperwork procedures including job cards, time cards routine/ non-routine cards and work sign-off/sell-off procedures, Must be dependable, report to work on time and as requested, Some overtime can be expected, Accomplish other reasonable duties and tasks requested by supervisor.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
SUPERVISION:
Under general direction, normally performs duties after receiving general instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results. Some opportunity for discretion when making selections among a few, easily identifiable choices. Assignment is usually reviewed upon completion.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS
A moderate to high level of interpersonal skills is required to maintain an effective relationship with co-workers and supervision.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
Requires easy mobility around various sections of aircraft and the dexterity to remove and replace parts in a timely manner. Requires mental skills and quickness with the ability to cope with stress and intense effort or exertion usually caused by long working hours and tight timelines. Must have the ability to be aware of one's own safety and that of others. Working environment requires standing 90% of the workday on hard surfaces. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required Read, write, speak and understand English Minimum 3 years: A&P desired More than 5 years: A&P license required Must have minimum hand tools for the position.
