Clarificion from the agency (1) Arkansas Air Nional Guard (AR ANG) Technicians; (2) All members of the AR ANG, (3) Individuals who are not members of the Nional Guard but who are eligible to acquire membership in an available and compible military grade for excepted technician positions. (Upon selection, must be a member of the AR Air Nional Guard). Duties Help (1) Plans and lays out work to be accomplished in the shop which is then completed by the technician and lower graded mechanic(s). Determines approaches, methods and courses of action required to accomplish the mission of the shop in an effective and efficient manner. Independently determines approprie maintenance procedures. Estimes time, equipment and merial requirements. Devises and maintains plans and records. May provide recommendions and input to supervisor concerning personnel actions such as performance appraisals, awards, position description changes, disciplinary actions, and leave. (2) Performs the full range of shop work. (3) Implements safety regulory requirements. Ensures th other workers in the shop wear approprie safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. (4) Prepares for and participes in various types of readiness evaluions, inspections, mobilizion and command support exercises. May be required to perform additional duties such as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operion, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or serve as a member of a team to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies. ): Upon selection for this position, individual must possess or initie a Nional Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigion. Upon selection, must complete mandory Full-Time Support (FTS) Training the Professional Educion Center (PEC) within six months of assignment (if applicable, training coordined by the supervisor). Individual must meet all military requirements of the position without creing a grade inversion, as determined by the Human Resources Office (HRO). Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (Grade Inversion). Enlisted members currently a higher grade than allowed by the position (see Military Grade Requirement above) may apply; however, they must administrively reduce prior to appointment and provide confirmion of the reduction to

Qualificions

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Experience or training th has provided the candide with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specificions. Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: In addition to journey-level experience or training equivalent to or exceeding the WG-10 or WU-10 grade level, positions this grade level may include performing duties as a dediced crew chief. Other positions may include responsibility for performing, coordining, and/or overseeing the work and any periodic inspections to be done on an aircraft whether it is alone, or with the assistance of other mechanics and/or workers. Some positions may include coordining the work of other journey-level workers in other trades to work simultaneously on the aircraft. Other positions may include serving as the technical authority to advise on, examine, and approve all airframe, mechanical, electrical, and pneudraulic repairs of assigned aircraft.
