) Performs routine maintenance and repairs on fixed wing and rotorcraft owned by MCSO. Conducts periodic inspections and returns office aircraft to operational service. Operates precision measuring devices and special tools. Orders, retrieves, and maintains stock of spare parts and supplies for aircraft. Maintains aircraft maintenance records. Documents aircraft parts and component records. Provides and sustains organization of hangar and office area. Performs routine fuel samples on office fuel trailers and trucks. Maintains valid mechanic's license with airframe and power plant ratings required by FAA. Performs necessary steps to obtain inspection authorization for the FAA within the first three years of employment. Participates in on-call calendar to report to work outside regular work hours for unscheduled aircraft maintenance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems on fixed wing and rotorcraft. Skill in Trouble shooting and programing software into systems. Performing routine maintenance on fixed wing and rotorcraft and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Ability to Return office fixed wing and rotorcraft aircraft to service. Perform maintenance, follow instructions, and interpret drawings and diagrams. Maintain clear recordkeeping and organizational standards within the work environment.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
